Students entering sixth form normally take GCE AS Level or equivalent qualifications in four subjects. These will be taken at AS Level at the end of Year 13. Three of these subjects will be continued into Year 14. The most able students will study four A Levels at A2.
Students choose three or four A Level subjects from an extensive list. Each subject is taught for 8 periods per week (often split between two teachers). The subjects on offer for A Level are:

In addition to this, BTEC and CTEC qualifications are available in:
Business

Sports Studies
A general range of enrichment courses is also on offer to our A Level students, including:
Careers Education (1 period each fortnight)
Physical Education (2 periods each week)
Religious Education (3 periods each fortnight)
All Sixth Form students also have a Form Period each week, and either Registration class or Assembly every day. Although studying only 3 or 4 subjects, our Sixth Formers are therefore able to forge strong relationships with their Form Teachers and Heads of Year. Sixth form students also have Study Periods, during which they may use specialist departmental facilities or spend time studying in the School Library or in one of our Senior Studies.
