18/08/2016 LORETO COLLEGE CELEBRATES OUTSTANDING A LEVEL RESULTS

The students and staff of Loreto College Coleraine had much to celebrate as the 2016 A Level and AS Level results were issued on Thursday 18th August.

Year 14 students were celebrating some of the College’s best ever A Level results, with their successors in Year 13 celebrating excellent results at AS Level.

Speaking on behalf of the College, Loreto Principal Mr Michael James said:

“I am thrilled with the performance of our A Level students who, this year have produced one of our best sets of A Level results ever. Every pupil managed to achieve passes in all of their subjects, with 83.5% achieving three or more grades A* - C. 45% of all grades achieved by our students were A* or A grades and over three quarters of all grades achieved were a grade B or better. This is a fantastic reward for all of our students and their teachers and I am delighted that we have been able to build on the successes of previous years. Among our top performers, twenty one students achieved the fantastic standard of 3 A grades or better, with Peter Rogan achieving four A* grades.

“Our AS students have also performed better than ever and this is a very positive indicator for the coming year. I  congratulate all our students and their teachers for these results and thank them for their hard work and dedication throughout the past year. They all thoroughly deserve these fine results.”
