02/10/2014 EXAMINATION ACCOLADE FOR LORETO COLLEGE STUDENTS

Three students from Loreto College Coleraine have been recognised among the very top students achieving A* grades in the Summer 2014 CCEA GCSE and GCE A level examinations.

At A level, Rosanna McAleese was placed joint second in CCEA’s A level Economics qualification. Rosanna, who was Head Girl at Loreto in 2013-14, has now completed her A Level studies and is reading Law at Trinity College Dublin.

Meanwhile, Therese Mullaghan was placed first in CCEA GCSE Drama, while Dylan Johnston was placed third in GCSE Additional Mathematics.  Therese has now begun her A Levels at Loreto, and is studying English Language, Home Economics and Theatre Studies.  Likewise, Dylan has returned to Loreto, where he has commenced his A Level studies in Computer Studies, Economics, Mathematics and Physics.

Mr Michael James, Principal of Loreto College, congratulated all three students, along with their teachers, Mrs Stacey Mellon (Economics), Mrs Oonah McEwan (Drama) and Mrs Ria Carey (Mathematics) on these wonderful achievements, on behalf of all the staff and students of the College.
