Talented young hurler Sean Leo McGoldrick, a Year 13 student at Loreto College Coleraine, has added an Ulster Colleges All-Star award to his already impressive tally of honours in the sport.

Sean Leo, a native of Portstewart, has distinguished himself throughout his years at Loreto College as an accomplished Hurling and Gaelic Football talent, representing his school with distinction in innumerable fixtures. In the last academic year, Sean Leo was selected as a member of the Presidentís Selection Brendan Harvey All-Star team, while in September he was presented with an award by Ulster Colleges sponsor BT as Captain of the 2003-2004 Loreto Under 16 Hurling team, which won the Kirk Cup competition.

Sean Leo is also an established talent in local Gaelic club Eoghan Roe, playing both Football and Hurling. At a recent awards ceremony, he was named Junior Hurler of the Year for 2004. He has also enjoyed the honour of representing Derry at minor level.

Sean Leo was congratulated on this tremendous achievement by Loreto College Principal Mr Brian Lenehan on behalf of all the staff and students of the school. A member of a family with an inimitable sporting tradition, Sean Leo McGoldrick is clearly a talent to watch in the years ahead.
