Loreto College students who received top examination accolades from CCEA
06/10/2010 EXAMINATION ACCOLADES FOR LORETO COLLEGE STUDENTS

Three students and one former student from Loreto College Coleraine, Specialist School, have been recognised among the very top students achieving A* grades in a variety of subjects in last summerís CCEA GCSE and A level examinations.

At A level, Aoife McGrath was placed third among all those who entered CCEA A level Geography.† Aoife, who was Head Girl at Loreto College last year, is now reading Law at Clare College Cambridge.†

At GCSE level, three students have received recognition of outstanding achievement from CCEA.† Emma Kelly was placed joint second in GCSE Spanish and joint third in GCSE Music , and is now continuing her studies of both subjects, studying for A levels in English Literature, Mathematics, Music and Spanish at Loreto College.† James McCullagh also received two accolades, placed joint first in GCSE Economics and joint second in GCSE Drama.† James is also continuing his studies at Loreto College, having chosen Biology, English Language, Economics and Spanish as his A level subjects.† Meanwhile Daniel McAleese was placed second in GCSE PE: a well-known local golfer, Daniel is now studying for A levels in Biology, Chemistry English Language and Mathematics at Loreto College.

Mr Brian Lenehan, Principal of Loreto College, congratulated all four students and their teachers: Miss E A Curry and Mr L Shaw (Geography), Mr P Loughran (Spanish), Miss R Stewart (Music), Miss B Toner (Economics),† Mrs O McEwan (Drama) and Mrs M McCullough (PE) on these wonderful achievements, on behalf of all the staff and students of the College.
