20/01/2004 LORETO’S SEAN PAUL HENRY BREAKS ULSTER ALL-STAR RECORD

Loreto College sixth former Sean Paul Henry made Ulster history this week when he was selected for the Ulster Colleges All-Star team in Gaelic Football. This selection was an historic one for the Coleraine student, as he had already been named as a member of the All-Star Hurling team just before Christmas. Sean Paul now holds the position of the first young sportsman in Ulster to hold simultaneous membership of the Ulster Colleges All-Star panels in both sports.

This tremendous achievement comes as no surprise to those who know Sean Paul. He has become well-known on local and national level for his sporting talent and dedication – he represents Loreto College in Gaelic Football, Hurling and Soccer, and has played a leading role in schools athletics throughout his years at the Castlerock Road School. Last year, Sean Paul was chosen to represent Ireland in the Compromise Rules series, and he is well-known locally as an accomplished player for local side Owen Roe.

Sean Paul was congratulated by his teachers, coaches and classmates at Loreto – with so much success already to his credit, he is clearly a talent to watch for in the years ahead.
