A Year 9 student from Loreto College Coleraine, Specialist School, has taken the All Ireland title in the Boys’ Advanced Age 13-14 class in Trampolining.

Aidan Carlin had already been named Irish Regional Champion in March, at Northern Ireland level, qualifying for the All Ireland Finals which were held in the last weekend in April in Dublin.  At this prestigious event, the Loreto schoolboy went on to take first place and the individual All Ireland National Champion title.  Aidan has qualified for The Irish Grand Prix  which will be held in Limerick  on 17 & 18 May 08, having attained the highest performance score in his age group at advanced level.

As if this were not enough, Aidan also took part in the team event, coming home with another first place title as a member of the winning Advanced Team.  As part of his prize, he now has a national shirt with his name on it.

Congratulating Aidan on this magnificent success, Mr Brian Lenehan, Principal of Loreto College Specialist School also paid tribute to Mrs Maureen McCullough, Head of PE and Ms Karen Graham, Trampolining Coach.
