14/11/2018 SWIMMING SUCCESS FOR LORETO COLLEGE STUDENTS

Loreto College was represented by a number of swimmers at the Swim Ulster Schools Cup and Championships 2018 at the Aurora, Bangor: Shannon Baird, Kyle Cooper, Niamh McHenry, Oisin McNicholl, Eoin Mullan, Orla Quinn and Hannah Staats-Howard.

Eoin Mullan was 100m Butterfly champion as well as achieving Silver in the 200m Individual Medley.  Eoin will now represent Loreto as part of the Ulster Schools team in the Interprovincial Schools tournament in Dublin in the New Year.

Meanwhile, Orla Quinn won Bronze in the 100m Breast Stroke and was a Finalist in the 100m Freestyle, while Shannon Baird was a Finalist in the 100m Breast Stroke.

Orla Quinn and Eoin Mullan are members of the Ulster squad and Shannon Baird is part of the Swim Ulster Talent ID programme.

All these students were congratulated by Mr Michael James, Principal of Loreto College, on these tremendous achievements.
